Join us in launching a transformative national initiative empowering over 3,000 parent ambassadors across the UK

Are you a highly organised, digitally-savvy professional with a passion for mission-driven impact? NESSIE are embarking on an ambitious journey to launch a national Parent Ambassador Scheme, and we need a dynamic Project Coordinator to be the heartbeat of this initiative. This is more than just a coordination role; it is a chance to empower a community of over 3,000 parent ambassadors across the UK, fostering belonging and driving meaningful change for families.
NESSie IN Ed CIC is a not-for-profit community interest company (CIC) focused on supporting positive mental health and emotional wellbeing for children and young people aged 0–25 and their families in educational and community settings across Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and surrounding counties. Its core purpose is early intervention, prevention and flexible therapy for those struggling to access conventional services.
The organisation delivers:
NESSie is commissioned by local authorities and education partners but also provides services on a self-funded or charitable basis.
They were founded in 2015 by CEO Rachel Lambie, a senior children's psychotherapist. They employ a wide range of professionals who make up an exceptional multidisciplinary team of registered therapists (Arts, drama, play and music), counsellors, autism/SEND specialists, family support workers and professional mental health trainers.
As the Project Coordinator, you will lead the day-to-day operational delivery of this exciting new programme. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will have the autonomy to manage your project area while working closely with senior leadership to align with the broader organisational strategy.
Your first 3–6 months will be exhilarating as you gear up for the launch on September 12th. Your immediate priorities will include:
Setting up and testing all digital resources to ensure they can seamlessly handle high traffic.
Developing project plans, schedules, and risk logs to keep the launch on track.
Acting as the primary, warm point of contact for their ambassadors, ensuring they feel supported from onboarding through to active participation.
We are looking for a "connector"—someone who pairs exceptional organisational skills with a warm, approachable presence. To thrive in this role, you should be:
You are a creative and digitally capable communicator who can produce high-quality content—including videos, graphics, posters, and written materials—while also populating and organising content within a digital training platform to support accessible, multimodal learning.
You enjoy "juggling plates" and have a sharp eye for detail.
While you will have full support from the CEO and Executive Assistant, you are someone who takes initiative and can move projects forward independently.
Ideally, you have experience in education, SEND, or community development and understand the power of volunteer-led movements.
To ensure the successful launch and long-term sustainability of the Parent Ambassador Programme, we are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate the following background and expertise:
